WHAT IS COVERED, AND WHAT IS NOT, IS IN WRITING.
THE GUARANTEE
The work carries a one year workmanship guarantee, given in writing and running from the day the work is finished. It covers faults caused by our preparation or application.
It does not cover structural movement, damp, leaks, failure of the existing background, everyday wear and repeated knocks, or damage from work carried out by others.
THE COVER
We carry £1,000,000 public liability insurance through Simply Business, in case anything ever goes wrong.
THE PRICE
Send photos of the room as a whole and any problem areas on WhatsApp and we can start on a quotation. Where photos cannot answer it, we arrange a site visit. The site visit and the written quote are free.
THE WORKING DAY
The quote and a start date are agreed first. Areas should be cleared before the first day. We arrive at around 8am. Floors and anything in or around the working area are protected before we start, and the area is cleaned down at the end of each day. Waste is bagged and left on site, and can be moved to a spot of your choosing where that is practical. We do not take waste away.

Ask for the guarantee wording before you accept a quote.
It should be a document you can read.
Ask about the public liability insurance.
Ask who it is with and what it covers.
Send photos and judge the reply on how quickly it comes back and how straight it is.
Ask for a site visit before you accept, and ask them to explain the method in front of you.
Read the written quote and check what is included and what is not.
Ask the same of every plasterer you speak to.
NOTHING IS AGREED UNTIL YOU HAVE THE PRICE IN WRITING.
That is what the free site visit is for. The background is looked at, the method is explained in front of you, and the price follows afterwards in writing, with the exclusions set out.
