GUARANTEE & HOW WE WORK

WHAT HAPPENS IF
SOMETHING GOES WRONG

Everything here is written down: what the guarantee covers, what it does not, the insurance behind the work, and what happens in your house from the first day to the last.

An enquiry can be sent at any time. We reply as quickly as we can during working hours, Monday to Friday.

THE GUARANTEE

THE GUARANTEE IS ONE YEAR

The work carries a one year workmanship guarantee, given in writing and running from the day the work is finished. It covers faults caused by our preparation or application. It does not cover structural movement, damp, leaks, failure of the existing background, everyday wear and repeated knocks, or damage from work carried out by others.

If something is not right, tell us and we will put it right. The guarantee wording is given with the quote.

WHAT IS COVERED
AND WHAT IS NOT

Inside the guarantee

Outside it

The guarantee covers our work. It does not cover faults that come from the building itself.

Where the existing background is a concern, we tell you when we quote.

INSURANCE

THE COVER BEHIND THE WORK

Plastering happens in rooms you live in, around floors, radiators and furniture. We carry £1,000,000 public liability insurance through Simply Business, in case anything ever goes wrong.

THE PROCESS

FROM THE FIRST MESSAGE
TO THE LAST DAY

01

You send a message, or photos of the room as a whole and any problem areas. WhatsApp is the quickest route for both.

02

We reply as quickly as we can during working hours, Monday to Friday.

03

A price comes back from the photos. Where photos cannot answer it, we arrange a site visit at no charge.

04

A written quote follows, in plain terms, and there is no charge for it.

05

The quote and a start date are agreed, and the work is booked in.

06

Areas should be cleared before the first day.

07

We arrive around 8am on the agreed day, and floors and anything in or around the working area are protected where needed.

08

The site is cleaned down at the end of each day, and the guarantee is issued in writing.

IN YOUR HOUSE

WHAT THE HOUSE LOOKS LIKE
AT THE END OF THE DAY

Most worries about a plasterer come down to two things: whether he turns up, and what the place looks like when he leaves. So the day runs like this.

We ask that someone lets us in each morning and locks up at the end of the day. It helps if you are contactable by phone while we are there. You do not need to stay in the house while the work is going on.

WASTE

WHAT HAPPENS TO THE WASTE

Waste is bagged and left on site, and can be moved to a spot of your choosing where that is practical. We do not take waste away. On rendering a skip is included in the price. On larger jobs with more waste, a skip can be priced in if necessary.

Everything else on site is cleaned down at the end of each day.

MATERIALS

THE MATERIALS WE USE

A finish depends on the background, the preparation, the application and the material. We use quality materials suited to the job.

NEXT STEP

SEND PHOTOS AND
WE WILL COME BACK WITH A QUOTE

Send photos of the room as a whole and any problem areas on WhatsApp and we can start on a quotation. Where photos cannot answer it, we arrange a site visit. The site visit and the written quote are free. Neither commits you to the work.

The phone is answered 8am to 5pm, Monday to Friday, and any message left is returned. WhatsApp is the best route for messages and photos. An enquiry can be sent at any time. We cover Worthing and around ten miles out from it.
